Craigmore Station

This is a local landscape with a story attached.
This afternoon myself and a friend were asked to photograph a memorial service for a young man who was killed in a car accident about a week ago.  This chap was from the UK and had been employed by the head gamekeeper (pheasants) on Craigmore Station.  He arrived here last November, and was enjoying his job as a junior game keeper and had become a well respected young man.
I can only try to imagine how his parents back in the UK must be feeling, getting that dreadful phone call.  His body has been taken back to them, this service was in memory of him for his friends & colleagues throughout the rural district.  And, it was very well put together.
After the service we went up in the hills behind the homestead where a tree was planted in his memory.
My photos and the video will be sent to his family - I have started to edit them, thankfully there isn't that much that needs to be done.  Mainly some cropping and straightening.
My blip is taken from where the tree was planted, showing some of the invited guests making their way down for refreshments.
A stunning view.....a plantation further up the hill in extra.

This sort of photography has really taken it out of me - two in four days.
