Shiitake mushrooms

We started the growing kit off on 6th October, and now they're really producing... so it just has to be mushroom risotto for tea!

Oh, the stray dog didn't make an appearance this morning when we went to the Mas to chop some firewood, and if he'd been around I'm sure he would have shown himself.  Yesterday morning I'd noticed that there was a dead one on the main road :-(  At the time I couldn't bring myself to go and look to see if it was the same dog, but now we think it probably was.  I'm trying not to blame myself because maybe he'd tried to follow me, reached the main road and he'd been hit by a lorry.  Ufortunately this sort of accident is very common...
