Oregon girl

It's been a wonderful day in Oban today with sunshine from start to finish - not that it's finished yet, of course.

I spent a couple of hours wandering around the seafront taking pictures, and met this young couple. I was trying to photograph a gull high on the finial on the roof of Chalmers and she stopped to ask me what I was photographing. 

We had a long chat - they live in Paisley but he was from the West Midlands and she was a native of Oregon! The place I would love to go!.

When we said goodbye, he shook my hand and she gave me a kiss and a flower from her bunch! Made my day!
