Fly Agaric

It's been a busy week and the camera has languished in its bag - but finally managed to leave work in the daylight and so headed off to the local nature reserve to hopefully find some more autumn colour.

It was all rather dull and the "wrong kind of trees" for good colour, but I suddenly came across this clump of Fly Agaric - one of the top 100 and most easily recognised mushrooms in the British Isles.

The surrounding area had numerous examples of different fungi, so I spent a happy half hour or so shooting away, before finally wandering round the woodland until it finally got too gloomy and cold.
