Good Friday procession.

On Good Friday the Catholic churches in Ibiza Town take part in a procession through the narrow streets of Dalt Vila. They each carry a heavy wooden bed shaped object with a statue of the different stages of Christ's crucifixion. The whole thing lit by candlelight was both moving and surreal. The pilgrims carried the statues as a form of penance and some were barefooted. The statues were accompanied by other people in robes and kkk style hats and masks whilst a brass band played music similar to the theme music from the Godfather... As I say surreal but glad we went.
Grateful to be sampling new experiences, for friends to share the experience with and the ability to walk further as my wife's injury has almost healed.
