A brief glimpse of sun

The weather has been cold and wet in Noirmoutier.  Tomorrow is to be the same.  The next planned stop on our trip, Amboise, is to have thunder and hailstones tomorrow.  Have we angered the weather gods?  We did walk through the rain into the town to have a lovely lunch, terrine du maison (fish) followed by Merlu (hake), which was fall off the fork fresh.  A glass of sauvignon blanc went very well with it.  We walked through the rain back to the campsite, which is now getting sodden and muddy.  So, tomorrow, we are going to cut our trip short and head straight down to the house.  At least we will have the big wood burner there to keep us warm.
