Most of the hundreds of timber planks have been removed from the sandy beach near Aberlady but near Gullane Point people have been quite imaginative in making use of the wood that still remains. The giant figure has hair made of seaweed and stone eyes with a driftwood mouth and it must have taken some strength to weave the long planks on the walls of the den. (extra)
