Kilmartin Standing Stones

I had a good night's sleep and as the morning looked promising,we decided we should make for Tayvallich.
Tayvallich is such a lovely picturesque little village and we like to walk over to Carsaig where you can look over the Sound of Jura towards Jura.
The weather was lovely and bright and the views of Jura were beautiful. Spent some time here enjoying the views before we headed back to Tayvallich to have lunch, outside on the deck area,at the Coffee Shop and it's beautiful location overlooking the bay.
After lunch we headed back to Lochgilphead stopping for a lovely woodland walk round Loch Barnluasgan. The reflections of the trees on the loch were beautiful.
Feeling refreshed we travelled back to Lochgilphead and the Kilmartin valley with it's spectacular prehistoric sites. Stopped at the purpose built car park and enjoyed walking around the stones and taking lots of photos of some of my favourite stones.
Later we had afternoon tea outside at Kilmartin House museum's cafe, enjoying the best of the late afternoon sun.
It was then back to our little house to upload our photos and another cup of tea and to write up my journal.
