Spindrift

After some snow overnight the weather cleared from the north west so we went up Meall Buidhe, one of 2 Munros in Knoydart that we hadn’t seen the view from before. We gradually climbed the hill as the sun came out, and the views were terrific over the sea towards Rum and Skye and inland with the hills clear from Torridon all the way down to Lochaber. There was a lot of hard snow around so we needed crampons from about 750 metres, and there was a snell wind causing a lot of spindrift. My blip was taken near the summit looking west along the summit ridge, where a couple of friends are making their way through the spindrift to the top. The extras are looking up the final slopes towards the top where the blip was taken; the layers in the snow looked great and the other extra is a close up of some fabulous micro folds in some schist.
