Pappy's Girls

We had to be up relatively early this morning as we had a 9.30am appointment at the vets - nothing wrong with the boys, just a quick visit to cut their claws.  We asked if we could weigh them too, as since I've been cooking their food, Milou in particular has started to feel heavier, and sure enough they've both gained about 1kg so hey're now on a diet!

From the vets we went to pick up a second hand scooter for Scarlett, but we're keeping it until their next visit in the summer when hopefully we might find one for Violet too, and while we were out, Rach packed up all their belongings as they're driving home tonight, and Violet was having a nap.  Once she'd woken up though, we headed straight out and went to the marina for lunch and chose Pizza Express as we had some vouchers.

This afternoon we met Sandra, Nieve and Lana at the beach.  The girls last saw each other in the summer holidays and it was so nice that they remembered each other and played nicely together.  I've added an extra of them both sat throwing stones in to the sea.

When we got home I sat in the garden with the girls while Rachel cooked their dinner.  I've probably mentioned before that Violet doesn't like dogs so it's been a challenge this weekend, but tonight she finally relaxed and stroked them and then started playing with them. On her grounds it was fine, but if they came towards her she would get upset again, but it's a start!

After they'd eaten, Rachel got them ready for bed and then put them in the car with the hope that they'd fall asleep and then they'd just carry them into bed when she gets home.  She left at 7pm and has kept in touch with me on their way home, and luckily both girls fell asleep.  Her journey has been ok although part of the M23 was closed so she was diverted off the A23 and rejoined the M25 near Cobham.  Also part of the M6 is closed at junctions 16 & 17, so when I last hear from her she was in a queue waiting to come off the M6.  Hopefully, they'll be home soon though.

Anyway, I'm off to bed so I'll say goodnight and hope you're having a good weekend!
