Farewell Japan

Our last day in Japan. It has been amazing- the beautiful landscape, interesting history and stunning temples and shrines, Different foods beautifully presented and most of all the lovely people who made us so welcome.

We found our way to the right underground station for the 1 hour ride to the airport and even got to the right terminal (it wasn’t Zoe ivied on our air tickets). The flight was delayed by over 2 hours due to a dust cloud over Beijing. So we arrived at midnight. The formalities took quite a while but eventually we got our bags and found the chap we’d organised to meet us. It cost a bit but was worth it at that time of night not to have to find a bus etc. The drive to our hotel took over an hour so it was straight to bed.

China allows no Facebook, google, WhatsApp etc so it is cold turkey for me till Helsinki!
