Mascot Mania

Big news for the residents of Koshien; our new superstore, Corowa, opened today. Daiei closed about one year ago and we have been getting our groceries from the smaller neighbourhood shops, none of which have the free delivery service which made Daiei so attractive to us. Corowa charges a small delivery fee but, unlike Daiei, they do not limit delivery to food items. Today they delivered a frying pan, a flask and two large boxes of tissues for Kazuko. Very good for families like us that do not have a car.

I took my first look around Corowa after I returned home from work. I like it. Kazuko took this photograph in Corowa this morning. Today's opening is clearly a big deal since Miyatan (the mascot of Nishinomiya City), Waon (the Aeon mascot) and Torakkii (the mascot of Hanshin Tigers) all graced the store with their august presence. Stop the press!
