New carpet is down and Hendrix approves!

Hendrix loves the feel of the new carpet, he spent ages just lying there wiggling his fingers in the pile. At his house they have hard flooring, very nice but you can't run your fingers through it!
He then crawled to the chair and pulled himself up. They are lying like that because we needed to put other things in place before we could stand the chairs up in their rightful places.
The carpet layers did a fantastic job, a complete 10 metre run of carpet, with some funny angles to deal with, right from the front of the sitting room right back through the dining room to the doors of the little conservatory thingy.
Then they did the landing and stairs, replacing some underlay which we hadn't realised we needed until we took the carpets up. They also unbolted the stair lift track so they could fit the carpet properly, the previous fitter had just cut the carpet out to fit it around the brackets.

This evening I attended a V.E. wreath laying ceremony at the Gloucester War Memorial with some other Riders, the Gloucester Branch of the RBL and the Mayor of Gloucester. Short but solemn, see extra.
