Salford Quays

This used to be a filthy stretch of water at the end  of the Manchester. Now it's clean enough for youngsters gingerly  to enter its icy depths.

We were at the Lowry to see a fabulous Flamenco dancer, Manuel Linan, a taster before we return in June to Jerez de la Frontera for more of the real thing
