The patience of the wild life photographer!

I arrived too early at the Heritage Park loch this morning.  The goslings were very busy grazing on the grass, scuttling after mum and dad and having little swims.

I had to walk round the loch four times before I got the photo I wanted with all the goslings (about 9) tucked under mum's wing. There is always one curious one who wants to see what's going on in the big wide world.

The goslings grow very quickly and it won't be too long before they reach the ungainly stage ..... very long legs and tiny wings. I think there will still be some eggs to hatch during the next few weeks.
