A coiled spring

It was definitely a roof down sort of morning. Just the ticket.

I felt confident enough to bend down to take butterfly pictures this morning and also witnessed a very large male shieldbug trying to displace a smaller one who has having a bit of what you fancy with his partner. The boys definitely laid into one another.

Apologies for being behind in commenting, but the French Open is taking over my life and then there will be the Jeremy Thorpe drama to watch tonight, excellently caricatured by Hugh Grant.

This is a very tiny Brown Argus butterfly, which is half the size of the lovely Common Blue.
