Hospitality

my contribution to the Biennial...

Walked with Derek along to the Pier head and round the Cunard Building exhibition - mainly so he could see the fantastic interior of the building itself. Then after spot of lunch we wandered up to the Copperas Hill exhibition. Having worked for a short spell at this massive former Post Office HQ, Derek gave me a personal guided tour of the building. It's an art work in itself, many of the original working features left in situ - a building with great character.

In other news, after seeing Skyfall over the weekend (made all the more pleasant by the fact that Woolton now has a licence - supping a glass of wine while watching film - oh yes), Stephen has decreed that we will now have family film nights until we have watched ALL of the Bond films. As I can't prise anyone off the sofa to go and watch the fireworks, tonight has been offiicially designated BONDFIRE night.
After much discussion and for no real logical reason, we have decided to start with Goldeneye - sweets in, feet up - enjoy the fireworks everyone!
