Absent friends

It’s been a funny old day. On many levels it’s been brilliant. Everyone is getting on really well, we had a great drive down and qualifying this evening was really good.

As you may be aware I’m 50 in a couple of month, Ian would also have been 50 this year. Last time we were here we planned that on our 50th we’d rent a bit of land or a house on the mulsanne and watch the race from there. This would have been a pretty amazing thing to do.....

So I’ve been thinking about that a lot in the run up and especially today....

We’ve raised a few glasses to Ian and of course Tristan.
