An Avid Lensman

Tree Clump Sunset at Old Sarum Hillfort

I might have missed the sunrise the previous Solstice day at an ancient, beautiful and mediative place, BUT I did get myself up to Old Sarum for sunset on the following day.

Usually and often, the sunset after a perfectly clear day can be weak and insipid.

Fortunately, a bank of cloud had formed in the west, through which the sun glowed richly.

I decided to give this landscape the width and space that it deserves and not to just zoom right in.

I hope you like it - cos I DO!
