Notre Dame de Paris

We had a wonderful last day in Paris visiting the Tuileries Garden, the Louvre Palace and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Time passes so quickly. The ducks sheltering under a golden shell and crows pecking at seed pods in the Tuileries Garden. The great squares and the peculiar glass pyramid in the Louvre Palace. The beautiful carved stone and stained glass of the Notre Dame Cathedral. The day had a sense of unreality.

It was a joy and a luxury to be able to spend this time. Normally we have no leave to spare and have to get home as soon as possible. This visit, however, we could take an extra day.

Eventually Cardiff beckoned and we had to face the Paris traffic to get to the airport. The flight, once more, was uneventful and we were soon back in Cardiff. The wonder of arriving at this little airport - we were home within an hour of landing.
