Haytime

We usually get the hay mown on our low meadow around the end of July. In some years it gets so wet that it proves impossible to dry it for hay and it ends up having to be baled for silage.  So this year, with the weather having been warm and dry for so long that the grass has already ripened, and with the sun set to shine for as far ahead as the forecasters dare to go, mowing proved irresistable.  It was cut this morning and here Jamie is tedding it in the early evening.
