A time for everything

Another day, another concert!

Friday
Between Montgomery and Blue Ash, it’s been a big week for concerts. Blue Ash has two series of weekly concerts throughout the summer - mainly relatively local artists, some amateur, some professional, but all free! Tuesday evenings they are held at Blue Ash Nature Centre, a fairly small outdoor amphitheater - these tend to be jazz or wind and brass bands, that sort of thing, whilst on Friday evenings they are held on Towne Square, which has a bigger space, and these tend to be country/rock etc sort of bands. Then this week of course we had the extra concerts for the 4th July and the previous evening in Montgomery! What a difference this evening, however, weather wise. After over a week of extremely hot and humid conditions, today the skies cleared out during the afternoon, leaving us with a really cool, fresh, breezy evening. I had taken a cardigan with me just in case, and I was glad I had. When we got back home, we went out in the back garden for a while, looking up at the starlit sky, and watching all the fireflies flitting about in the trees at the bottom of the garden!
The morning had been spent watching the France vs Uruguay World Cup game - yay for France! - and some Wimbledon, while trying to assuage my conscience by doing some ironing! In the afternoon the temperatures were finally bearable to go for a walk - so we went for our usual loop at Sharon Woods - we didn’t have too long, since we had someone coming round late afternoon to look at an old stereo system we had advertised - we got more for it than I expected, given how technology keeps marching on! However, it was it was a long enough walk to get my 10,000 steps in!
