Bonfire Night

Knackered after last night's bonfire night at M's school.
We are a very small school, but, although there are happenings aplenty in the preparations, as with any PTA, I am constantly amazed at what the small group of hardworking creative parents, staff and students, who always show up when they are needed, manage to pull off. Last night we had over 200 guests, who went home warmed, fed and entertained at an event a much larger school would've been pushed to achieve.
For my part, I baked up a storm of Parkin, flapjacks, scones and made tablet and as an added bonus decided to get a bit silly with this "bonfire" cake, made from a mountain of cupcakes and Pocky twigs, with a marshmallow guy. It looked cooler in the dark when we lit a load if candles stuck in between the twigs!
Still going for that Blue Peter Badge... Haha.
