Lagonda

Our local community hall in Deerness had a vintage rally on Sunday.  For me the star was the Lagonda from (I think) the 1930s.  The main picture shows the beautifully maintained 6 cylinder, 3 litre engine.  You can clearly see the supercharger and twin carbs.  So much simpler than a modern engine.  On the upper right there is a complete set of spare plugs and what looks like a spare magneto.
The owner was saying Lagonda only supplied the mechanics of the car (engine, transmission, chassis, etc.).  The owner then had to find a coachbuilder to construct a body to fit onto it.  So every car was custom built.
See the full car in the extras.
