Apothecary7's day off.

We went to Westport beach in the morning and had a long walk along towards Machrihanish. Fergus had a good run about on the beach, up to the dunes, and in and out of the sea.

Not long before we got to the seat at the back of the beach we found a good length of coloured rope. We left it where it was at the edge of the water. Then, further along, we spotted a float (probably a creel marker). The float was in good condition and clean. Apothecary7 gave it a rinse in the sea and we took it up to the seat. We sat for a while and watched the world go by. That mostly consisted of one creel boat and a few yachts out at sea. We decided to take the float home and put it in the garden. To make it easier to carry we picked up the rope we had spotted earlier and fed it through the float and tied it up to make a long handle.

Back at the car park end of the beach there were a dozen or so surfers in the water and some people enjoying the beach.

When we got home we used the rope to hang the float in our little patio area in the garden.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
