Goodbye, Vancouver Island

This was the view as we sailed away from Nanaimo on the ferry back to the mainland this afternoon. Sad to say goodbye to Ann, Jim and dear old Granny.

Lulabel and I now happily settled in Niece#1's house in North Vancouver while she and her family are away for the weekend.

We did a small supermarket shop to keep us going over the weekend and thought prices were generally higher than in the UK. The other noticeable difference was not being able to buy beer or wine in the supermarket. Undeterred we found the liquor store nearby...
