Free And Clear

I took a ride with the hubs to Brick Township today to check on his uncle's boat at the Riverfront Marina. All was well with the Yellow Fin but the Free and Clear had been pushed from the Metedeconk River into a grove of trees in the park next door by the 12 foot surge of Hurricane Sandy.

A cabin cruiser was stuck in the sand next to the children's jungle gym in a playground adjacent to the marina. You can see more pictures on Flickr here and here.

We wanted to check on Sandy Hook but the Atlantic Highlands bridge was closed. I needed to see if Moby's was ok and it appeared to be fine structurally. Bahr's was open for business and serving the locals and the out of state help. A huge truck could be seen vacuuming sand out of the sewers on the road into Sandy Hook. I think the cleanup is going to take years.

Our power returned Friday night after having gone missing on the 29th. 10 days.
