Grain Chaser...

Phew... what a scorcher!

Like a mad dog I went out in the a bit later than midday sun to watch a major harvesting operation just outside the next village, Balsham.

There were three combines, CLAAS Lexion 780s and two of these Grain Chasers. Richard Western GR30s being pulled by CASE IH Magnums, one a 330 and the other a 335. The grain chasers were collecting the grain from the combines and off-loading it into a fleet of smaller tractors and trailers to be carted off, I think direct to the Camgrain store in Linton. All this on the hottest day yet... the car thermometer giving 34ºC.

The grain chasers have a capacity of 30 tonnes and they just didn't stop loading and unloading...

The extras show one of the combines and the smaller tractor/trailers.
