A Wet Summer

A single windblown apple tells a story. Usually at this time of year, our little garden is littered with apples from the neighbour's tree. But this autumn there are barely a handful, and only a few more still up on the tree. And it's the same across the UK apparently - the worst apple crop since 1997, which makes sense as we only moved here in 1999. I think the theory is that the poor summer weather stopped bees and other insects from flying at a crucial time.
