Although most people think of Las Vegas and desert when they hear that I'm from Nevada. I'm actually from the northern part of Nevada, which still is desert, but we have mountains and beautiful places too. "Nevada" means "snow-covered" which surprises a lot of people who only have the desert perspective of our part of the country. It's nice to have a little of both. :)
