Woolly thistle

I always think woolly thistles are at their best just before the flowers open. They look as though they've been designed to play with. This patch is in a mothballed rail cutting that is soon to be re-opened as East-West Rail. I'm hoping that mitigation plans move a little faster so there's chance for the special wildlife here to migrate to new habitat or, in the case of some plants, be translocated.
