Remains of the day #2

A long day, but a lot was done. I fetched the combine in the morning, then did some servicing as it wasn't quite clear what had been done, dropped in for lunch and let the camera do some solar eclipse photography while there (in the extras), harvested the first trailer load, put it in the dryer, harvested two more, and emptied the dryer after this was taken. Didn't quite finish the second field, but over 5 hectares done. The yield is better than expected and it needs just a minimal amount of drying. The downside of that is the dust.

I blipped one from the same field with the same title (-#2) last year. That was six weeks later. Although it was at the end of the harvest, that says something about the differences between the years.

The partial solar eclipse was very partial indeed. I suppose it was about 10% here. The first extra is taken a few minutes after the maximum. The second is a composite of five shots taken at 3 minute intervals at the end of the eclipse.
