Men at work

I got up at 5.30 in order to be at Oban Airport by 8.00 for the flight to Coll  at 8.40 , where I was meant to be doing a surgery and  some visits.

However although the weather was fine in Cowal but the time  Marie Claire and I  got to  Taynuilt it was misty and raining and although it lifted for a little  once we were at the airport it soon settled again.

The  flight was delayed by twenty minutes  and then cancelled,  which was very dissapinting not least because I have had to cancel a surgery on Coll once before because of bad weather.   On that occasion though we actually flew there, but couldnt land.

Anyway we then had to drive back to my Dunoon office  to undertake he surgery appointments by phone, getting there around 11.00am.   Five and a half hours without much to show for it !

Except a blip, because leaving Oban Airport I noticed a handwritten sign above the standard "Caution, Men at Work" one which announced  roadworks on the always attractive Connel Bridge.

The handwritten part said "Absailers:" and indeed as we came through the  traffic lights one of those was very visible on the superstructure , with mist all around.
