Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour and carried on along the park and Kilkerran road to Glenramskill House.

We came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open - with at least two customers inside!).

CalMac:
MV Isle of Arran has been withdrawn from service until the middle of next week, in order to carry out essential repairs to her propeller pitch system.

The issue first emerged on Friday (August 17) and engineers worked throughout the weekend to identify and resolve the fault locally, however, following sea trials on Monday (August 20) it became clear that the vessel would require to go into dry dock for repair.

Regrettably, this has also required the cancellation of services between Ardrossan and Campbeltown for August 23-26.

At present it is not possible to say with certainty when the MV Isle of Arran will return to service but every effort will be made to return her to service as soon as possible next week.
