Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Island

Rain this morning! (not long enough.)  Then decided we really needed to just" bite the bullet "and go get some groceries at the store on Galiano.    We never want to leave the island and go get in a CAR, and of course we lose our good parking spot.  But we have bananas and more!  Still had a row early afternoon and some studio time on this last solo afternoon of summer.  (visitors arrive tomorrow)  AND the plan is to put the tin boat in the neighbor’s boathouse tonight at high tide. (before dark)

Not sure it’s ready to “be abandoned” but the blip is the island book I’ve worked on sporadically this summer….which has nothing to do with computers.  (have no decent printer here).   The 6x6 inch little “clayboards” with island paintings have been sitting around the studio for several years…needing a structure I thought.  So the backs are nautical charts, gelli printed and they are tied together so they turn frontwards or backwards.   It’s so hard to take a photo of something one is meant to handle and turn pages etc.  We’ll see if it gets played with with the visitors coming,,.,:-)   A couple forms in the extras…It can be "read" like a book or .It could sit on a shelf and be changed different ways.....
