Old age creeping on!

Mrs M, Daughter 2 and I went to Inveraray today, though the weather wasn't too promising - light occasional showers.

I went to the Tree Shop for a look around while the others did a tour of the castle, and after lunch we all slogged our way up Dun Na Cuaiche above the town. Although this hill is only 813ft it took us an hour - and fifty minutes to come down again. It's steeper than I remember! The name literally means 'the hill of the cup, bowl or quaiche' and is probably so called because of the hollowed out shape at the top.The tower on the top was built in 1748 - see extra. Wonderful view of the town and Loch Fyne! Sore knees now!
