Traue keiner Statistik

Seemingly the quote attributed to Winston Churchill "The only statistics you can trust are those you falsified yourself" (German: "Traue keiner Statistik, die du nicht selber gefälscht hast.”)  is apparently Nazi propaganda generated to discredit him.

I think Mark Twain was often used by and attributed to Churchill such as a very appropriate one today  “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”

It was a lousy day today and I didn't take a photo all day. However, I did hear the Weather Frogs saying it had been a warm dry summer, 3°C warmer than the average. Not as hot as 2003 though, but pretty dry. They did though confirm my belief that Bavaria. especially the southern part was not hit by the drought seen everywhere else. Bavaria was the wettest State in Germany.

My PV records give a pretty good reference but only started in June 2017. June this year was not as good as 2017 but July and August were better.

All the info on the Blip cannot be properly seen but they are in pairs (Consumption and Generation) for the five months. I think that is the main thing I will remember from 2018 - that it was so warm for such a long period. However one can see in the Generation graphs that every week or two there was a dip, those days when we had an evening thunderstorm.

Luckily this year there were no serious large-scale storms. A few very localised ones.

Sadly the meteorological summer ended in a whimper and September will start a short winter period before we get back to "normal".

I would highly recommend one Mark Twain quote to Mr Trump:
“If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.”
