Turtles in their comfort zone!

Taken early this morning on the lake: lake Hopatcong. Woke early and the light on the empty lake was lovely, but I just couldn’t get it right on camera!

We had a great breakfast of honey glazed sausages and scrambled eggs and it was decided that we would enjoy seeing the lake with a cruise. The midday cruise included lunch. We dressed quickly and went half way round the lake to pick up the Miss Lotta! The lunch was great. I really enjoyed the cruise. So many houses backing onto the lake! One even had a small funicular to go from the main house down to the boat house!! The buffet Lunch was provided by a local restaurant : Alice’s. Yum! Especially the brownie for afters!! It was lovely on the cruise but once back on terra firma the heat hit us! 35°/95° depending which scale is used!

We are back at my cousin’s in a very well air conditioned house!! You look out and would love to go for a walk but the idea of the heat.....

A few extras: first thing, a swan going to Byram Cove, my cousin and her son and the bay on labour day, full of boats that come to Byram Cove to enjoy the calm waters!
