Rat tale ( continued )

Yesterday I moved the orange bird feeder out of Ratties reach. He'd already worked out that the green feeder closed to him if he stood on the perches. By Lunchtime today he'd worked out that by perching on the top of an adjacent feeder he could reach over to the green feeder and get seed without the feeder closing. Dry, after lots of seed eating he headed up to the water dish. Got to hand it to this smart creature. I feel very benignly towards him ( perhaps its she ).
