Brunch and the single girl

Surprisingly/unsurprisingly (delete as you feel appropriate) I have been single for 4ish years - interestingly/uninterestingly (you know what to do) a lifetime if you're a hamster.
When you're single (even if you're ready to mingle) it's nice to have a few regular fixtures in your week, and Saturday brunch in a Mill Road cafe is inked in blood in my invisible weekend diary. A chance to take the time to check in, catch up and share in person with pals who treat you like family - in fact, maybe/probably better than family. Today we were small in number but the craic was good, as was the vegetarian sausage sandwich.
