Boxed up

By the end of the day I was a modicum more organised than at the start. My colleague Claire didn't need a stack of boxes she'd ordered to the office, so she let me take them. It gave me the impetus to start separating what I need to leave in my flat, what I will store and what I will take to Mozambique. First I had to get the boxes home which entailed a precarious balancing act in the rain with my bike and an army of bungee cords, which may be the world's most useful item. Around this I've sorted shoes for recycling, tested random old electrical equipment for duds and made headway with expired tins in the cupboard. Dinner was rice pudding that should have been eaten a few years back.
