What I've Done

Looking towards Newlands Valley from Castlerigg

A good weather forecast this morning sent us East to Ullswater, only to get rained and hailed on all day. We gave in just after 2 o'clock, and retired to a pub for a warm. Called in at Castlerigg on the way home and experienced the best skies of the day, although Castlerigg did live up to it's reputation of being one of the coldest places on earth. I liked the hint of snow cover over Robinson, in the background.

Even using a grad filter, I couldn't cope with the exposure range in this view, so had to blend three pictures together to achieve the final result.

Worth looking large!
