I love the image on the poster advertising the current exhibition at the RSA.
It somehow reflects, for me, the image of Victoria on the top.
Apparently the statue of Victoria was not the original choice of Playfair, the plans until 1837 had the sphinxes with a statue of Minerva at each end of the building.When Victoria came to the throne though, the country was gripped by "reginamania" and the original plans were scrapped and the statues of Minerva replaced by this specially commissioned, and enormous statue of the Queen.
