Great Bentley village

Woke this morning to a dull day. After breakfast I had a walk around the village. Great Bentley is reputed to have the largest village green in England, so it makes a good walk to go all the way round. We were joined by D for coffee and H's wonderful cheese scones, we went on a circular walk from the village, probably about four miles over fields, very muddy from the recent rain, and of course the rain came on. However, we enjoyed being out for a couple of hours, and when back in the village almost home, we passed this thatched cottage and intriguingly the hedge on the right of the picture, cut in the shape of a cottage, which I though made a good blip. Quite nice in large

H's family are coming for dinner, looking forward to a lovely time with the children.

And tomorrow home.......
