Hidden away

There are so many little places like this, when you slow down and keep your eyes open.  Blip makes you do that.  Places that you would just drive past, or take for granted and walk past without seeing it, become little bursts of excitement in your day.  I noticed how sheltered these steps were, hidden away in the trees.

Another really horrid day of wind and horizontal rain.  My waterproofs were wet through by the time H and I had finished the outside work.  The ponies are inside because of the weather, so we take them across to the big barn to wander, roll, eat haylage, socialise, while we muck them out their stables, fill hay nets, water etc, then bring them back, a couple at a time.  We also rode Jasmine and Nimbus and did a bit of jumping before we took them back.

I don't often ride Nimbus these days as she is the favourite of several of the young girls who come to ride in the evenings, so gets plenty of exercise!  She's 23 now, small, sensible and steady, and a lovely gentle pony, so no wonder she's popular!  She is in several of their selfies!
