Golden Hour Goldfinch

I experienced the golden hour at both ends of the day today. Ollie and I walked at Lodge Farm as the sun came up. I got some pics of her bathed in the golden light which really enhanced her rich auburn colouring. 

We went down the field in the hour before sunset and the light was beautiful. I was interested to see the cloud of midges around this goldfinch on the top of a field maple when I looked at the images on screen.
