The central heating has broken down completely now. The plumber came last night and, after getting completely soaked in cold water, admitted he didn't know how to mend it. We're waiting for a gas technician to come on Friday morning, the earliest we could get. So pleased we have dual fuel and can enjoy this lovely coal fire - it certainly throws out a lot of heat and it's lovely to look at.
