Mine’s a double

Port Appin Distillery started in earnest  now and it's going to be tricky, the one I'm basing it on is comprised of five or six barns and buildings that have been joined together piecemeal as it developed. The real distillery (inset pic) is in Fife but the small size makes it an ideal fit for a diorama. On Port Appin the distillery will be called 'An Appain' unless I'm corrected over my Gaelic. Long way to go yet, this pic shows a loose fit centre piece with a coat of matt acrylic to indicate the style for the whole diorama. Many distilleries on Islay adopt the attractive black and white style.  My buildings will look like one of the famous ones - Ardbeg perhaps.  watch this space...
