The silent soldiers have appeared around Bucks to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. My blip for today is this silhouette because the young lads left their home and loved ones to go far away to fight in a war that supposed to end all wars. It’s a tribute to those who never returned from the war, which took place between 1914 and 1918, and those whose lives would never be the same again.
