Scottish Parliament

For Remembrance Sunday an impressive projection onto the walls of the Scottish Parliament including every name from the "roll of honour" held at the National War Memorial.

I have to confess to having mixed feelings about the growth of these remembrance events over the past decade or so. Too often they seem to be slipping into a maudlin celebration of the military adventures of the past instead of a sincere, dignified commemoration of the sacrifice of so many lives in the pursuit of wars across the globe.
